Its that time of the year where my YouTube earnings start going up from the usual. From my past two years of moderately active YouTube channel experience, the earnings go up by 20 to 30 percent.
Before now, I was excited to see my earnings go up because I didn't have an idea of what was to come. But this time I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. Its perhaps a warning that I should be prepared for low earnings for the next few months.
From what I experienced, the earnings go down drastically starting Jan 1, whatever are the reasons. January is going to be a low earning month followed by Feb. We may see a bounce back starting March.
So guys, if you are enjoying your December earnings, be prepared for the other side of it. My earnings in Jan have gone down sometimes to 30 to 40% of normal i.e., where I used to earn 1$ on normal days of say Nov, I've seen my earnings at around 40cents in Jan.
UPDATE, 03 Jan 2015 : As expected, there is a steep decline in Jan earnings. My earnings for 1st Jan 2015 have dropped by 60% compared to my earnings on an average Dec day. The earnings for 2nd and 3rd are not yet updated, but I'm sure they will be low and these low earnings are going to continue for few more weeks. Low time YouTube'rs.

it is bad in january 2015 went from 4 cents in december 2014 to 2 cents. i rember december 2013 had 5-6 cents per click
