Samsung developing into Android and Google into Windows

This is what is happening, isn’t it? I think so.

Samsung probably is the largest handset manufacturer of Android devices and to make the stand apart they have released their own SDK’s based on Android so that developers can develop apps that will be specific to Samsung devices. This is pretty much like a Samsung Android, though it is still Android. They already have a huge Android market share and this will give them further edge as the users will have more relevant and specific apps in addition to the normal play store apps that every one had.

Google is doing something similar in the pc space, they have released the “Chrome App Launcher” which is like a Chrome OS within Windows. After installing “Chrome App Launcher”, users can launch any of the available google stuff like google drive, gmail, calendar right from the launcher. In addition to the ones that come with the launcher, you can get more apps from the chrome web store. Some of these are short cuts and some are mini apps which can be directly run from the App Launcher. Next time I need MS Office for a new PC, may be App Launcher will be an option. This is like Chrome OS on Windows, isn’t it?

What say?
